What Happens During a Screening?
Visual Exam
Dr. K or Dr. Gantayat will visually inspect your lips, tongue, cheeks, and the roof of your mouth. We look for:
- Red or white patches
- Sores that haven't healed
- Asymmetry or swelling
Physical Exam
We gently feel (palpate) the tissues in your mouth, jaw, and neck. We check for:
- Lumps or thickened tissue
- Immovable bumps under the jaw
- Tenderness in the lymph nodes
